I want to thank all the Ruritans, township personnel, vendors, sponsors, and supports that helped make this event as successful as it was. This event is for the community. The Ruritan club feels that community is very valuable and this is one way to share it with others. We support local vendors, assist the nonprofit organizations, and bring the community together to socialize at a full fill day. I would like to thank Salem Sunbeam for the nice write up in the paper.

Participating Vendors;

Thank you for taking part in the LAC Ruritan’s Annual Crab and Craft Festival.
Vendor Space assignments are located in the list to the right. The event organizer reserves the right to change vendor spaces as needed up to and at the day of the event.

Upon arrival (check in), you will be provided an information packet that includes a site map (Similar to the one from the link below) with notation of your vending spot. This will help you find your spot easily. The numbered vendor spaces will be located on grass, the Food vendors will be on concrete or road surface.

As we will be blocking off roads to traffic for the festival I’m asking the vendors to arrive at the vendor check in location on “2nd Street” by way of “New Street” to “Maple Ave”. This will help facilitate vendor vehicle flow to their location for unloading.

Setup: 7AM until 11AM

Vendors must supply tables, chairs and table coverings. Unload your vehicle as quickly as possible as a courtesy to the other vendors. Please move your cars to the street parking on New street, Maple Ave, 2nd Street, or Front street. DO NOT setup while unloading. After the show begins at 11 am, no setup will be permitted. We plan to have some volunteers in the morning during set up to help you unload as quickly as possible.

Rain or Shine – Please be prepared! EZUP-type canopies are encouraged.

Food vendors will be serving breakfast and lunch items at a reasonable cost. We understand that you may be traveling solo; therefore we plan to have volunteers to come around and offer short breaks.

The LAC Ruritan’s is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

No refunds for any reason.

Breakdown: Please remain intact until 4PM. If you breakdown early, you will not be invited to participate in 2011. Vendors are responsible for cleaning and disposal of trash from their area. Vendors must leave the premise in a clean condition, free from trash prior to leaving the event Trash receptacles will be available on the festival grounds.

Advertising: We have advertised in the Salem Sunbeam, The Reminder, banner at the festival site and road signs throughout the surrounding towns. Poster in surrounding businesses, as well as numerous flyers at local businesses and sent home with the school students.

The Ruritan members are picking up the pace and bringin in some great silent auction items. The Amusement rides are ready to make the ride down to our neck of the woods, to send some enjoyment our way.

This year we will have a limited number of Festival T- Shitrs. So to get a t-shirt you have to be quick.

The ruritan will be supporting the Troops, we will be collecting donations and letters to create care packages for the minitary personnel that are supporting our country.

Plan for a fun day, support our craft vendors, with out the vendors this event would not be half the day that it is.

Planning is starting to pick up. The Amusement Rides and Pony rides are scheduled and Spitfire Aerospace with the Helicopter Rides is checking to confirm the date.

We have come new craft venders and some of our favorites coming back. Don't forget the Movie following the festival that the Drug Alliance organization is putting on for the Community.

Save the Date and plan on enjoying the day with your family at a down home community event.

It's That Time Again!

Mark Your Calendars and join us for the 8th Annual Crab and Craft Festival in Hancocks Bridge, NJ !

Our celebration, Saturday September 18th, will feature music, food, and FUN - for a very AFFORDABLE price! The admission is free. The parking is free. Even the music entertainment is free. We will continue to have activites for the kids including, horse/pony rides, firetruck rides, and amusement rides.

This year we have teamed up with DARE who will be hosting a Movie Night as the festival winds down. As the amusement rides and vendors are packing up and volunters are cleaning up, The Movie Screen will be setting up on the Front Ball field for a family film.

The Festival has been a wonderful commuity event and proceeds raised by the Ruritans through the Silent and Chinese Auction, 50/50, and Crab Derby are put back into the community as scholarship awards and as funding the following years festival. Come out and enjoy the fun and fellowship of your community!

LAC Ruritan’s 8th Annual Crab and Craft Festival

1. The 2010 Vendor fees: (12’X10’space)
A) $35 for one space, $55 for two spaces, for selling hand made items, by you the artist/crafter. PHOTOS OF ALL HAND MADE ITEMS MUST BE INCLUDED WITH APPLICATION.
B) $40 for one space, $60 for two spaces, for commercial products and services, items not made by you ( i.e . retailers, demonstration products sales).
C) Free for Non-profit organizations. Please attach mission statement.
D) $60 for food vendors. LIST ALL FOOD PRODUCTS AVAILABLE TO BE SOLD. Event organizer will contact you to ensure that the products sold are exclusive to each vendor. (Except hotdogs, plain fries, water and soda.) This will be addressed on a FIRST COME basis.

Please note the fee is non-refundable.

DEADLINE: September 1, 2010. Any application received and accepted after the application deadline of September 1st 2010 will be subject to a $15 late fee.

2. Exhibitors may not extend beyond the limits of the exhibitor’s booth (12’ x 10’). Exhibitor is responsible for tent, tables & chairs. It is recommended that he tents be weighted. Tables must be covered. TARP STYLE TENT STRUCTURES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
3. Exhibitors will keep booth assembled and staffed for entire duration of the Festival and remove all merchandise, boxes, debris. Trash receptacles will be available on the grounds. THE HOURS OF THE EVENT ARE 11 am—5 pm, RAIN OR SHINE.
4. Only items listed in application and included in photos will be permitted for sale. The event organizers reserve the right to refuse unacceptable items for display or sale. Exhibitor may not reassign exhibit space. Exhibitor may not offer free children’s product or activity (i.e. face painting, balloons, tattoos, etc.) without prior approval from the event organizer.
5. Non-Profit organizations are strongly encouraged to create an interactive activity (i.e. Craft, Game) in conjunction with promotion of mission statement.
6. The event organizer reserves the right to decline, prohibit or remove any exhibit which is deemed out of keeping with the character of the Event, including persons, things, products, services, printed material, conduct, alcohol, smoke, noise, etc. Exhibitors will not use flashing lights or noise making devices. Generators must be pre-approved, in writing, by event organizer. Limited water and electric is available Food vendors only.
7. Exhibitors can not use the Event name or logo on any merchandise (T shirts, mugs, etc.) sold or given to the public without pre-approval, in writing, by the event organizer.
8. Your signature signifies acceptance of all stated guidelines and expressly releases the LAC Ruritan Club and the Township
